On this War Memorial tour you will visit a selection of war memorials in Melton’s toen centre commemorating those who made the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country.
There are numerous war memorials scattered around Melton Mowbray, some in open public spaces, others inside buildings such as churches, clubs and schools.

We will visit memorials connected to the Battle of Waterloo, the South Africa (Boer) War, World War One, World War Two, Northern Ireland conflict, Iraq and Afghanistan.

As we travel around town, as well as learning about pivotal moments in British military history we will also hear the stories behind some of the names listed on the memorials.
