Join us for our September talk when we are joined by Leicester historian Joanne Vigor-Mungovin.

Joanne is an accomplished historian and author who has published two non-fiction books – ‘Joseph: The Life, Times & Places of the Elephant Man’ and ‘Peppermint Billy and the Toll Gate Murders of 1856’.

For our September talk, she will be talking to us about Trench cats of WW1.

she came across ‘Trench Cats’ while she was researching her WW1 family history and found the cat stories interesting.  This promted her to do a bit more rersearch on their contribution to the war effort which subsequently turned into a talk.  Some stories are sad, but others are so uplifting.
